The idea of gift as a moment of absolute pleasure for both the giver and the person receiving it. The ribbon as a symbol of festiveness and affection, a proper keeper of surprises.
The beautiful veinings of marble resemble the decoration on gift wrapping paper. The object conveys symbolic meanings of sharing, of the joy of spending time together. Storage boxes emphasize the unexpected side of presents.
Experimentation with different kinds of marbles and brass.
